In November 2007, LF Jennings awarded Facchina’s Site Development Division a $13.6 million dollar contract to construct the infrastructure for the Brandywine Crossing Shopping Center Project. Facchina’s work includes the 1st phase of the commercial development of the multi-use center. The anchor stores in the shopping center are Target, Costco, and Safeway. Facchina’s scope includes clearing, sediment and erosion control, utilities, mass excavation, importation of 80,000 yards of dirt, paving and storm water management . The project also included the addition of a thru lane and turn lane for U.S. Route 301 for approximately ¾ of a mile. This project began in Fall 2007 and is scheduled for completion in late fall 2008.
Project specifics include:
18 buildings – 3 major anchors, 2 mini anchors, 2 banks, 2 gas stations, and 9 other buildings with multiple tenants in each.
250,000cy+ total earthwork including pond excavation
32,000’+ of water, sewer, and storm drain installed
45,000tns+ of HMA superpave for both onsite and offsite
Retrofit of an existing SWM pond including 40,000 cy of excavation, modification of the riser structure, and regrading of the entire pond.
