Facchina was contracted by Calvert County Department of Public Works to construct the Lusby Southern Connector. The connector will provide a streamlined bus route from Rt. 760 to Rt. 4, eliminating the need to enter the business district.

The project broke ground in October 2006 and consists of construction a 24 foot wide by 10 foot tall Conspan Bridge over an existing wetland, a 14' x 11' Structural plate bridge over an existing wetland, 6,000lf of storm drain and construction of a 3 part wall consisting of a soldier pile wall, retaining wall, and a visibility wall. This is the largest project Calvert County Department of Public Works has ever built.
