In a joint venture with Odebrecht Contractors, we provided construction management/ general contracting services under a guaranteed maximum price contract.  We performed all the duties of a typical CM/GC responsible for final cost and construction schedule and were responsible for supervising the progress and workmanship of over 550 trades people during the peak of construction.

This dramatic new addition to the Miami Skyline is a 736,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art, multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility, and home to the NBA's Miami Heat. The new arena seats 19,450 for basketball and 14,350 for hockey.  It features an on-site basketball practice facility and underground parking for premium seat patrons.The American Airlines Arena is located on Biscayne Bay in downtown Miami offering views of the city and the Bay from all the arena concourses. The compressed construction schedule required a grand opening on the eve of the millennium, December 31, 1999 and despite significant design and construction challenges, the Grand Opening was celebrated on time and to rave reviews.

In addition to construction services, we were also responsible for the procurement, delivery and installation of all typical Owner furnished items including fixtures, furniture & equipment.
