This project included the renovation and expansion of Frederick Memorial Hospital's central energy plant, a facility that has served the 228-bed hospital for more than 40 years. The project comprised of the expansion of the existing facility by 7200 sq. ft., including a new electrical system to include emergency and normal power and expansion of the existing boiler room to include two new boilers. The project also included the gutting of the existing plant to accommodate a new chilled water system.

To ensure that the hospital continued to have round-the-clock access to energy and climate control systems, work was scheduled  around the appropriate season and temporary measures were used as needed to keep the hospital up and operational as well as having sufficient redundancy at all times.
